Disabled People and Brexit

Following the United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union (EU), we want to ensure that disabled people have access to specialised information including advice and support with changes that affect them.

To do this, we are working closely with Welsh Government who have awarded us funding to support disabled people and prepare them for the potential challenges Brexit will bring and the impacts which the UK’s exit from the EU may have on their day-to-day lives.

We have worked collaboratively with Cardiff University and WCVA’s Brexit Forum to produce information on the impact of Brexit on disabled people in Wales.

The below links will lead you to a suite of videos that have been produced as part of the project. They include information on medicines, the NHS, EU Citizens and Healthcare, benefits, blue badges, human rights and much more:

Disability Wales have also contributed and signed up to the Disability Rights UK Brexit Manifesto.

To find more relevant information, you can visit the Preparing Wales website.

To find out more about the project and discover links to all the information and resources in one place, visit our dedicated Disabled People and Brexit website.
