Covid-19 Direct Payments guidance

social care wales website screenshot flexible use of direct payments during the pandemic

Many thanks to all who responded to our email and highlighted questions and concerns based on lived experiences of direct payments and employment of PAs during the coronavirus emergency. We greatly appreciate the time taken to do this, given the challenges many are facing.

At the recent meeting to discuss these issues with Welsh Government officials and local authority representatives, they reported that they have been working with Social Care Wales (SCW) to produce a Q+A page on direct payments during the pandemic which would be uploaded to SCW’s website.

Since the meeting SCW has launched the pages on their website. We hope that it will help to answer the questions raised by members. We understand that the pages will be kept under review, so if you have any comments, let us know and we will feed these back to SCW. We did highlight the need for information to be made available in a range of formats so we will follow this up with SCW.
